Me met up with Angela and Ian on one of our many trips through Massachusetts to shoot their engagement session at the place where they first met their freshman year, Worcester Polytechnic Institute. We got some amazing golden light just around sunset, and the WPI campus provided a great backdrop for these fun photos. We are really looking forward to their wedding next month at the Hotel Northampton and can’t wait to share more with you from this amazing couple! We’re giving you the second half of Angie and Ian’s engagement session preview today because we just thought you needed a little time to contemplate how great they looked in the first set before we showed you these! For those of you who missed it, go back a post and check it out! Here are a few more of our favorites from their engagement session at Worcester Polytechnic, where they first met their freshman year. The closer we got to sunset, the more amazing the light was.  Part of this session involved us sneaking around the front of the Higgins House for some cool pictures, despite the fact that there was a wedding going on in the back. However, we weren’t spotted by anyone at the wedding and snuck off with some of these awesome shots. Check them out, and check back soon for the rest of their photos!

We seem to have a lot of couples recently that met during their freshman year of college. We love going back with them to the place where it all started and recapturing some of that magic with our engagement shoots. We did just that with Angie and Ian in going back to Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Worcester, MA for their engagement session. We had a great time all around the campus despite Ian’s refusal to run through the fountain for us. These two will be getting married in Northampton, MA later this year, so they will be yet another Massachusetts couple for us. Noticing a trend around here? These two are both attending UMass for med school right now, so their schedules are really busy, but we really appreciated them making a little time to hang out with us and shoot some awesome photos! The light was amazing, and you can see here why we love shooting close to sunset, in what photographers call the “golden hour.” Here are some of our favorite shots from the session, and check back tomorrow at 5pm for the second half of their preview!

Some of you may have forgotten that we’re actually from New York if you’ve been reading our blog recently. It seems that we shoot a lot more in Massachusetts than we do in NY, but it’s really nice to get out of our normal places and shoot someplace new and different. It really kicks us back into a more creative mindset. We headed out to Worcester, MA yesterday (yes, we do love to travel!) to meet up with Ian and Angie at their alma mater, Worcester Polytechnic Institute. They’re both students now at UMass Med, getting ready to go heal the world, but they wanted to go back to the place where it all started their freshman year, and we were all too happy to oblige. You’ll be seeing a lot more from this soon, but here’s a little teaser photo for you. We love it because she had such a genuine smile (you can tell in the rest of the photos just how much they are in love), and the light is just AMAZING! Stay tuned for more soon!
