Sarah and Travis are currently over at our place with some of their family and their wedding party for some cupcakes and drinks while they see the premier of their wedding photos, so we are also finally able to show them to all of you! These two got married at the end of August in Williamstown, MA. Since Sarah works at Williams College, they were able to get married at the Thompson Memorial Chapel, which was one of the most amazing churches we have ever shot in. Their wedding was really beautiful and colorful and it was a joy to photograph. We got to make a pit stop at the Clark Art Institute, which is an amazing art museum in Williamstown that you have to check out if you are in the area. It made for a wonderful backdrop for their portraits.  Their reception was at the WIlliams Inn in Williamstown, just steps from the chapel. The wedding reception was a blast, and we got to hang out with some truly amazing people. Travis and Sarah have gotten to be friends of ours through this process, and getting to hang out with their amazing wedding party and families was just the icing on the cake.

Welcome back everyone to the second half of the preview for Sarah and Travis’ wedding last week in Williamstown, MA. Yesterday you got to see all the amazing details and the gorgeous ceremony. Today you’ll get to see some of our favorite shots from their formals and their romantics session at the Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, and their awesome reception at the Williams Inn. Also, don’t forget about our signature After Dark Session – these two really rocked that, and you’ll see a couple of images here from that as well. We had so much fun at this wedding, and it was really all because of the people. After having hung out with them over the past months, we are really lucky to count both Sarah and Travis as friends, and their families and friends treated us not just like friends, but like family during this entire wedding, from their rehearsal dinner (which will be coming soon on the blog) until the end of their reception, and even inviting us to the breakfast the next day! We really count ourselves lucky to have been able to be a part of this amazing event. We really had a blast and are excited to share some more of our favorite images with you.

We don’t normally post much from our family formals sessions, but the guys really showed some attitude for this shot, so we have to show it off!

After that session, it was off to the Williams Inn for their reception. I just love their expressions in this shot from their first dance. Travis’ dad sang an incredible rendition of “What a Wonderful World” – if I hadn’t seen him singing it, I could have sworn it was Louis Armstrong himself!

Sarah and Travis should be returning from their amazing tropical honeymoon today, and we want them to get the same chance as everyone else to see them, so we’ve been sitting on these photos for a little while, but we’re so excited to finally be able to show them to you!  Sarah works for Williams College in Williamstown, MA, and because of that, they got to have their ceremony in the Thompson Memorial Chapel on the Williams campus – it was an amazing setting for a truly amazing couple. For this first half of their wedding preview, we’re going to show you some of our favorite shots from the pre-wedding and the amazing ceremony. Sarah and Travis rented a trolley to drive the wedding party around town, and it made for a great bridal arrival at the chapel.

The Thompson Memorial Chapel at Williams College is really a sight to behold. It’s hard to find a more beautiful church in which to hold a wedding.

It’s just after midnight, which is remarkably early for me to be blogging. 2 or 3 am is getting normal these days during the peak of wedding season! But tonight, I’ll at least be getting a little more sleep that normal, before I get up tomorrow and push on through editing this AMAZING wedding from this weekend.

Sarah and Travis were married at the Thompson Memorial Chapel on the campus of Williams College in Williamstown, MA. It was a gorgeous wedding and was some of the most fun we’ve had all year. You’ll hear all about it in the preview posts headed your way soon, but for now, we wanted to give you and the couple a little teaser pic. We showed off some of their amazing images at the wedding reception, but we wanted to put one up that their guests didn’t have the opportunity to see before.

These two were cool enough to let us pull them out for 10 minutes near the end of their reception for one of our “After Dark Sessions” which we love to do to get some non-traditional, cool shots of the couple. This was one of those images in front of their reception site, the WIlliams Inn. They will be off to tropical climes for their honeymoon in the morning, but hopefully they get to see this wicked shot (a term that Floridians like us are slowly picking up from the MA crowd) before they get on their plane for their honeymoon. We promise lots more when you guys get back!

We’re really excited tonight to be showing you all of Erika and David’s images from their incredible wedding in Williamstown, MA. They decided to go with a “first look” at the base of Sheep Hill, just down the hill from their ceremony site. They had as really romantic moment to themselves (with us along to document, of course) before the day completely swept them up. This also allowed us to get all of their photos out of the way so they could go straight to their cocktail hour and spend more time with their guests. After the first look, we made it up to the top of the hill and got to revel in an amazing view of the Berkshires. Most people not from the area don’t realize how beautiful Western Massachusetts can be. Following a beautiful ceremony atop the hill, they followed a violinist down the hill to their reception site, the amazing Mezze restaurant. These two were incredibly laid back the entire day, so much so that Erika even went barefoot during the ceremony! That changed though during the reception, when after a great meal, she put on her custom made argentine tango shoes and took to the dance floor with David to show off some incredible dance moves. Their Tango was so elegant, it was really hard to describe. The night eded up being a complete blast and everyone had an amazing time. Today we’re really excited to show off the second half of Erika and David’s wedding preview. These are a few of our favorite shots that we got during their reception, after the wedding party came down the hill (see the last post if you don’t know what we’re talking about). They came down to Mezze, a great new Italian restaurant in Williamstown that we will no doubt be going back to try very soon. Mezze just recently moved to their new space, and as of the wedding, they had not yet opened, so this was their FIRST event, and they pulled it off flawlessly. It was a beautiful space with great food. We definitely recommend it.

We mentioned before that Erika and David met at Williams College, and there were a lot of alumni in the crowd as well. Everyone had an amazing time, there was great food, the guests all had a lot of fun on the dance floor, and a lot of the guests even went back to the inn they were staying at to party afterwards! Erika and David were so incredibly laid back during their wedding, they were a joy to work with. Check out some of these fun pictures and leave a little comment love for the happy couple below!

Remember what I said in the last post about the violins? I loved this detail inside the restaurant.

The purple cow is the Williams College mascot, sitting here on top of totally delicious carrot cake.

Erika is really into dancing the Argentine tango. She had these incredible shoes that were custom made in Argentina. She actually went barefoot for the entire ceremony and the walk down the hill, but put these on before the first dance.

The danced an Argentine tango for their first dance. It was gorgeous, and the sunset through the window only make it look that much cooler.

When we posted their engagement session, we had this awesome photo of David picking up Erika. However, when we posted the photos to our Facebook fan page, there was a comment from one of their friends that it should have been her picking him up, so, this happened:

We grabbed this shot of them as they were on their way over to the 1896 House Inn across the street, and we totally want to turn this into the final spread in their album. LOVE IT!

We’re so excited to be posting this preview from what was definitely one of the most beautiful, scenic wedding ceremonies we have ever shot. After driving back from our Cape Cod wedding on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, we stopped off in Williamstown in Western Massachusetts for Erika and David’s wedding. I can’t believe we had such different, yet incredibly beautiful weddings on one weekend!

Erika and David met their freshman year at Williams College in Williamstown and have been inseparable ever since. They even moved together to Boston to follow their separate graduate studies, with Erika just graduating as a Veterinarian the week before the wedding, and David continuing his studies for his Ph.D. in Physics and other rocket science stuff that is way over our heads (no pun intended, ok, maybe one was intended). They decided for their wedding to come back to the place where it all began, and their friends and family joined them for a beautiful wedding atop Sheep Hill in Williamstown, overlooking the scenic Berkshires. We love shooting in Western MA, and these pictures will show you exactly why. Here are some of our favorites from pre-wedding and the ceremony. Stay tuned for the reception preview, coming up soon!

Erika and David opted to do a “First Look” before the ceremony. The First Look allows them to see each other for the first time alone, in a private moment. Couples don’t often realize this, but weddings do not provide any private time between the couple until it’s over, so we like to give them that opportunity to share a few moments together before the craziness really starts up.

I just LOVE the expression on Erika’s face when they met during their first look. Priceless!

And of course, the first look allows us to get some awesome shots of the couple before the ceremony, which lets them get to their reception that much faster! Also, did I mention that we LOVE silhouettes?

We took these at the foot of Sheep Hill before moving to the top for the ceremony. It was a beautiful spring day  - loving the scenery.

Erika’s Aunt hand picked all the flowers for this wedding. Incredible! There was so much amazing color.

You’re going to be seeing a bit of a violin theme at this wedding. The wedding took place just shy of the top of the hill, and the bridal party followed the violinist down from the top of the hill to the ceremony site. It was an amazing entrance, and I wish all of you had been there to see it. Breathtaking!

You probably saw this image in the sneak peek, but we wanted you to get another look at the AMAZING view from the ceremony site atop Sheep Hill.

Erika’s sister then picked up a second violin and played a beautiful piece for the couple. She and Erika used to play weddings together, and Erika was so happy that she got her sister to play for hers.

Such a beautiful first kiss. Just look at the look on the Best Man’s face!

After the ceremony, the guests all followed the couple, led by the violinist, down the hill to the reception site.

Erika and David had an amazing reception at Mezze, an amazing new Italian restaurant in Williamstown. The second half of the preview will show off some of those photos, so check back soon!

Erika and David had an absolutely magical wedding this past Sunday in Williamstown, MA and we got to be there to capture all of it. This was such a unique wedding with so many great, personal touches and one of our most laid back, relaxed couples ever. It really was the perfect day for a couple that is really perfect for each other. We find ourselves smiling as we go through editing their photos, so I wanted to start you all off with a little teaser. Their wedding ceremony took place on top of Sheep Hill in Williamstown on the most gorgeous day of the spring. I just wanted to share this image with you to show you just how amazing the ceremony site was. Check back soon for more from their wedding!

Since Erika and David are getting married in less than a week, we had to put a little extra into getting their engagement session from last week completed in time. They met up with us in Williamstown, MA, at their alma mater, Williams College. We had amazing weather and a great time exploring their old haunts on campus. We’re so excited to be sharing some more from our latest engagement session with you. We did this shoot extremely close to their wedding, they are actually getting married over the memorial day weekend, but they still found a little time (right after getting their marriage license) to do a fun engagement shoot with us. We did their shoot at Williams College in Williamstown, MA, which is where they met while living in the same dorm freshman year. Now they have both moved on to further educational achievements, but they are coming back to Williamstown, where their relationship started, to start off their life together as man and wife.
