We’ve been busy editing photos with every spare second we have recently, but the photos will be worth the wait, we promise! Wedding season has finally wound down for us, which means we can spend a lot more time editing now that we are done shooting for the season. We are finally ready to show off all of Jen and Steve’s amazing wedding photos. They really wanted a wedding close to their home in Massachusetts, but still with that small, intimate destination wedding feel. They settled on the Green Mountain Inn in Stowe, VT. The Inn itself was incredible. Lisa and I stayed there for the weekend and loved the comfort and hospitality of the inn. It was the perfect setting for an intimate wedding nestled amongst the mountains of Vermont. The weather was not cooperating and their outdoor ceremony had to be moved inside, but it didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits or Jen’s amazing smile when she first saw her groom inside the Mansfield House. Following their ceremony, we took them out to some traditional photo spots in Stowe and put a little Scott Kretschmann Photography twist on the classic images. We then made our way back to the reception in the Main Street Dining Room at the inn. The reception was warm, inviting, and everyone there felt like family by the end of the night. We were really honored to be a part of it.

Welcome to the long overdue second half of Jen and Steve’s wedding preview from their amazing Stowe, Vermont wedding over Labor Day weekend. Their wedding took place at the Green Mountain Inn in downtown Stowe. If you check out their previous preview post, you’ll see the highlights from their preparation and the ceremony. Today we’ll show you a small selection of our favorites from their romantic session, their reception and their After Dark session. After their ceremony was over, we started with the formal shots just outside of the Mansfield House where they held their ceremony where we found a really cool shed that we could use for an awesome background. However, when you are in Stowe, there are a couple of traditional shots you absolutely have to get. Generally we try to go places to shoot that other photographers haven’t shot before, but when you have certain iconic backgrounds, you just have to use them. So, with this in mind, we shoehorned Jen and her new husband into the back of our Honda Insight eco-mobile for the short drive up mountain road to get the awesome background with the mountain and the Stowe Community Church. After we got a few fun shots up there, we went to the covered bridge walkway and then went back to the hotel for their announcement into the reception. The clouds ruled the day and even forced the ceremony to be moved inside. However, the sun made an appearance for a few amazing photos anyway!

After that it was back to the Green Mountain Inn.

We saw this old phone booth and just HAD to use it. We love the vintage feel of this one:

Their first dance was to “Creme de la Creme” by Annie Brooks. We love it when couples use unique, amazing first dance songs. Don’t get me wrong, “At Last” is and always has been a wonderful song, but something really unique to a couple always sets the perfect mood for a reception.

Check out this awesome cake by Vermont Sweet Tooth – it looked just like pieces of a birch tree. It was really unique, incredibly cool, and also pretty tasty!

Jim Severance of Music Mix DJ kept the party hopping all night long.

After a little partying, we took Jen and Steve outside for one of our signature “After Dark Sessions.”

You may remember this one from the teaser post. It’s totally our favorite from the wedding!

We’re so excited to be sharing yet another awesome destination wedding with you tonight. Jen and Steve were married over Labor Day weekend at the Green Mountain Inn in beautiful Stowe, Vermont. If you’ve never been to Stowe and live nearby, go. I know it’s a ski resort, but even in the summer, it’s amazing. Lisa and I had so much fun spending the weekend there, and the Inn was an incredible place to stay. The highlight of the whole weekend was, of course, Jen and Steve’s wedding. We  first met up with these two in Boston during our travels when we shot their engagement session, and we traveled yet again to shoot their amazing wedding. Tonight we are going to share with you the first half of their wedding preview, featuring some of our favorite shots from the day.

The ladies getting hair and makeup done in the room at the Green Mountain Inn. We love weddings where the prep, ceremony, and reception are all in the same place. It’s even better when we get to go back to our room in the same place after the reception!

Occasionally I get cool detail shots as well. It’s usually Lisa’s gig, but I always try to get a cool dress shot. Her Sophia Tolli dress was really beautiful. It couldn’t have been more perfect for her.

They had originally planned to have a really beautiful outdoor ceremony on the grass at the Inn. Mother nature disagreed, as she often does, and decided that the day would be a little wetter than expected. Instead, they moved the ceremony into the intimate and beautiful Mansfield House on the property.

Steve’s son was his best man. I caught the two of them hanging out just before the ceremony. I love capturing real moments like this:

The first kiss is an amazing moment at any wedding. However, the moment just after the kiss is even more magical to capture. Just look at her expression!

We just got back from an exciting labor day weekend shooting a sort of destination wedding in Stowe, VT. It was only about a three hour drive for us, but Stowe certainly is a destination! We were there to capture Jen and Steve’s amazing wedding at the Green Mountain Inn right on main street in downtown Stowe. We welcome any opportunity we have to shoot in Vermont, and getting to capture such a great wedding for an amazing couple like Jen and Steve made it absolutely perfect. We have lots and lots of images to get through, but we wanted to give you guys a teaser just to wet your appetites for more! We want to wish Polly and Thomas a very happy first anniversary today. One year ago, we shot their incredible wedding in Dorset, Vermont, just outside of Manchester. It was a beautiful elegant affair in Thomas’ parents back yard, which turned out to be the perfect setting with the beautiful Green Mountains in the background. This wedding was so amazing that it is now featured as our biggest, most amazing sample album in our studio, so come by and see if if you really want to experience this wedding! Anyway, we hope you two are having the most amazing day and celebrating together, and we wanted to show off an image to everyone that we didn’t get to feature on the blog last year that we absolutely love. Stay tuned for more from our latest wedding soon!

I very rarely stay up till almost 4 in the morning editing pictures, but we had so much fun on this shoot that I just had to post a preview right afterwards! Sarah and Travis are an incredible couple. They are tons of fun, incredibly nice people, great to talk to, and they were such troopers for this shoot! It was the coldest day of the winter so far, and we trudged out into the snow in beautiful Bennington, VT to take advantage of the incredible light and gorgeous scenery. They did a great job keeping each other warm and braving the cold temperatures to get some INCREDIBLE photos. We started out in the deep snow in Willow Park, spent some time having a blast at the playground there, followed by a little time around one of Bennington’s renowned covered bridges. I can’t wait till they (and you) can see the rest of them, but for now, here’s a little sneak preview, all of my favorite images from the shoot.

Here is a little sneak preview of images from Polly and Tom’s wedding last night just outside of Manchester, Vermont. It was a beautiful wedding with an incredible backdrop, and although the weather threatened all day, the rain stopped just before the outdoor ceremony. That must be a sure sign of a happy, lucky marriage for the two of them.
