We are really excited to show off Anna and Andrew’s Lake Placid Lodge wedding. It was such a beautiful lakeside wedding right on Lake Placid in the amazing Adirondack mountains. This was such a unique, amazing wedding in a truly spectacular location and we are thrilled to be able to share it with you. When Anna and Andrew first started planning the wedding, they had slightly different views of what it should look like. Anna is a very old soul and has an amazing vintage style. She envisioned a classic wedding filled with peonies. Andrew, on the other hand, is an avid fly fisherman and wanted to incorporate that somehow. So, the wedding theme revolved around peonies and fish scales. Despite the way it sounds, it totally came together perfectly.
We love couples who met in high school because we picture notebooks filled with their names in hearts. We picture them going through the ups and downs of high school and coming out of the other side more in love. Anna was new in town and a freshman in high school while Andrew was a junior. They have been inseparable ever since that day when they first laid eyes on each other . With his calm and loving demeanor what started as a friendship soon grew into love. Just like spaghetti and meatballs or Bruce Springsteen and the guitar, it was only natural that a year after they met they began dating. They belonged together and they knew it, and it wasn’t long until everyone else did as well.
Anna and Andrew made it through all of the tests that life threw at them. From the separation of college, family illness, and the challenges that distance can bring, their relationship grew and flourished. Andrew came home every weekend driving four hours to see Anna and be her support. After a beautiful and intimate proposal in Washington, D.C. it was time to plan the wedding of their dreams. They decided to have the reception at the beautiful lodge where her parents worked, where she had grown up, and the place that had brought her to Andrew. They planned for a beautiful and intimate ceremony at St. Agnes Church in Lake Placid. After the ceremony, they headed to the marina to prepare for their ride the reception at Lake Placid Lodge in the lodge’s Hacker-Craft. Talk about traveling in style! Thanks to the beautiful weather we were able to take some beautiful pictures on the dock as the guests enjoyed a cocktail hour on the terrace before moving into the lodge for the reception. It was a truly beautiful wedding filled with so much joy, love, and happiness that we are really happy to be able to show off to you today.
The invitation. Fish scales and peonies in perfect harmony. My favorite part of this? The “awkward but enthusiastic dancing.”

Anna’s mom working the veil. I always love the moment a bride puts on the veil. It’s the moment it all becomes real.
