OK, so I know I’m a little behind on this post, so for that, I apologize. I have recently moved to the Albany, NY area and have been without internet access other than my iPhone for about a month. The cable guy is coming tomorrow, so that should solve that problem. The iPhone is a wonderful gadget, and I love having the internet wherever I go, but after a while, it makes me miss my laptop.
Anyway, one of the perks of living in the northeast is being so close to everything. With that in mind, my wife and I went to Boston over the July 4th weekend to watch the Pops concert and the fireworks over the Charles River. I had watched the Boston Pops perform every year on july 4th on TV at the Esplanade, and had always wanted to go see them, so I finally got the chance.
One couple standing near us got engaged waiting for the concert to start, so I got a few pictures of them. They haven’t contacted me to get all the pictures, so hopefully they’ll find me on here soon. Here are a few shots of the happy couple.

Here are a few from the concert. They had special guest Neil Diamond, which was incredible because you know that the Boston crowd got very excited when Sweet Caroline was played. Craig Ferguson hosted, and was funny as always.

We then positioned ourselves by the river to watch what I would call the best fireworks display I’ve ever seen. The city of Boston really puts on a show.

And, of course, the grand finale!
