Kristen and Travis currently living in the Schoharie area and they love their city. They wanted to show off their beautiful city and what better way than an engagement session. We started at the Old Stone Fort which is an old church that was converted into a revolutionary war fort. From there we wandered over to the covered bridge down the street for some beautiful light and textures. In the Old Stone Fort area there are some barns which you know we had to take advantage of for some pictures. We loved the beautiful texture of the old wooden barns. Kristen and Travis were troopers and even did a costume change in the car! I think everyone will agree that it was totally worth it for this beautiful set of pictures. Not only was there a field of dandelions and pretty light but we happened upon an old tractor and you know how Lisa loves all things vintage and farm so we had to take advantage of that. We hope everyone enjoys!

When we scouted the location a few minutes before Kristen and Travis got there, Lisa found this old busted tractor. She couldn’t stop talking about it after that, so we had to use it!

From the first time we talked to them about their e-session during their consult last year they knew they wanted tulips involved  since their relationship started amongst the tulips in Albany. We managed to get one of the few non-rainy days this May and we took that chance to schedule their engagement session. We managed to get some great light (which you know we love) and some pretty colors.As anyone in the Albany area can attest Washington Park can be crowded during tulip time. Luckily we were able to shoot around the crowds and get some of my favorite pictures in the park to date. Since everyone and their family is out in Washington Park when the tulips are out with their cameras, it’s really difficult to get shots without other people in them, but we managed to get some that looked like we had the place all to ourselves! We give Tracey and Brian a lot of credit for patiently waiting out the crowds and being such good models!

After leaving Washington Park, we headed to Indian Ladder Farms in Altamont. Brian proposed to Tracey amidst the pumpkins at Indian Ladder and they just closed on a house in Altamont close to the place where they chose to spend their lives together. They came to the engagement session fresh from painting their brand new house and we cannot wait to visit and help them test out their pool (it is a tough job but someone has to do it). Indian Ladder Farms is such a great location and we love shooting there any time of year. Not to mention that the couple looked pretty snazzy in their dressy duds. Tracey was decked out the most amazing Maggy London dress combined with the gorgeous fields of Indian Ladder then you throw in a dash of amazing light, one cute couple and you have the recipe for a great engagement session. We are so excited to be a part of their beautiful wedding this August at the Crooked Lake House!

India Ladder was starting their petting zoo the next day, but to finish off, we thought we would start a little early!

When you drop one of the cupcakes into the bath, the fragrance fills the room and the effervescent fizz tickles your skin. For the icing on the cake, the luxurious whipped frosting will cleanse and exfoliate the skin leaving it soft and hydrated. There are also cute sprinkles and pearls that are more than decorative they actually have jojoba! I love all of the different colors and scents that are available. From baby powder (perfect for a baby shower) to a sweet peach (my favorite). Here are some of my favorite pictures from the shoot.
